Worst Day Ever
It all started with my case of terrible hair. I couldn't do it to look right. As I was running out the door, I trippedon and gracefully all over my new shoes. To make matters worse, I read more was totally running behind for school.
I arrived. My {boss|teacher|was absolutely furious. I managed to explain, but it was no use.
The rest of the day was just as bad. seemed to conspire against me. I stay awake.
By the time I got home, I was utterly defeated. This day, this horrific day will be forever remembered as a true disaster.

It all started out horribly with a simple mishap/incident/screw-up. But then things went from bad to absolutely terrible. A series/chain/cascade of unfortunate/awful/disastrous events unfolded/occurred/piled on top each other, leaving me feeling like I was in a nightmare/horror movie/comedy of errors. It's the kind of situation where you just want to throw your hands up.
